Public Emissions Reduction Statement

Following a rigorous assessment process conducted in accordance with the GHG Protocol methodology, we identified that our total emissions across Scopes 1 and 2 amounted to 61.329 tons of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e). Of this total, 31.492 tCO₂e came from Scope 1 (direct emissions) and 29.837 tCO₂e from Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy). Additionally, we recorded 2.802 tCO₂ of biogenic emissions under Scope 1.

Analyzing the data, we found that electricity was the main emission source, accounting for 48.65% of the total, followed by stationary combustion at 34.21%. In terms of gases, CO₂ represented the largest share of emissions at 74.70%, followed by CH₄ (25.29%) and HFCs (0.002%).

Committed to contributing to a more sustainable future, Sultécnica has set the ambitious goal of reducing its emissions by 30% by 2030, in line with the national targets established under the Paris Agreement — a commitment undertaken by Brazil.

In light of these results, Sultécnica reaffirms its commitment to significantly reducing its GHG emissions in the coming years. To this end, we are implementing a comprehensive action plan that includes:

• Optimization of energy consumption: Investments in more efficient technologies, such as air conditioning systems using lower-GWP refrigerants, and the expanded use of LED lighting.

• Greater use of renewable energy sources: Replacing fossil fuels in the company's vehicle fleet (gasoline) with renewable fuels (ethanol).

• Improvement of production processes: Adoption of cleaner and more efficient practices, along with training of our results engineering teams, focused on conducting detailed impact analyses.

• Procurement of energy from renewable sources: Prioritizing contracts with suppliers that rely on clean energy and hold I-REC certification.

We believe transparency is essential to achieving our goals. For this reason, we will make our Greenhouse Gas Inventory available on this website on an annual basis, so that all our stakeholders can follow our progress.
